Jimmy Simpson Foundation Set to Host Second Annual Clay Shoot in June 2023, Sponsorship Opportunities Available

Proceeds from the event help the Foundations for the Future campaign, which is aimed at expanding the foundation’s Safehaven facility in Walker County, Georgia.

ROCK SPRING, Ga. (November 29, 2022) – Following a successful first annual Clay Shoot in 2022, the Jimmy Simpson Foundation will hold the second installment of its yearly fundraising event from June 1-2, 2023, at the Beretta Shooting Grounds by High Adventure Company at Barnsley Resort in Kingston, Ga. Proceeds will go towards the foundation’s capital campaign, Foundations for the Future.

Foundations for the Future is aimed at expanding the foundation’s Safehaven facility in Walker County, Ga., from 12 to 24 beds to accommodate the rising need for resources for traumatic brain injured and ventilator-dependent individuals in the Chattanooga area. Once completed, the expanded facility will grow to approximately 31,000 square feet, with 28,000 of that space dedicated to direct services.

“We raised $32,000 during our 2022 Clay Shoot, and we are grateful to everyone who participated and donated. However, we still have an ambitious goal to meet, and we are energetically and passionately moving forward in our journey to build a new facility and add new services. The annual Clay Shoot is a great way to get involved with our future plans for growth and to help us help incredible people and their families,” Vickie Hodge, CEO of Safehaven and the Jimmy Simpson Foundation, said.

In congunction with Giving Tuesday, a global movement focused on showing generosity to local community organizations, on November 29th, the Jimmy Simpson Foundation wants to inform community members that sponsorship opportunities for the 2023 Clay Shoot are now available.

Sponsorship opportunities for the 2023 event are limited and range from $1,000 for an Individual Team, which includes one four-shooter team and shooters’ gifts, to $7,500 for a Presenting Sponsor.

Supporting sponsorships ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 are also available for businesses interested in contributing to the cause without participating in the actual tournament.

“We understand that each company’s financial situation is different. That’s why we’ve put together a range of different sponsorship options for the event. We know that many people will want to give to others to celebrate Giving Tuesday. A great way to have fun and help others is to sign up to sponsor our Clay Shoot!” Hodge added.

Additional information regarding the 2023 event will be released as the date gets closer.

The Jimmy Simpson Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and all sponsorships are tax-deductible.

ABOUT JIMMY SIMPSON FOUNDATION - ROCK SPRING, GA

The Jimmy Simpson Foundation is dedicated to providing the best quality care for the brain injury community. It was founded as a 501c3 organization by Carol Simpson after her husband, Jimmy, suffered an anoxic brain injury as a result from a fall out of a hospital bed after surgery. While searching for long term placement for Jimmy, it was difficult to find an environment that fostered individuality as well as provided a safe home environment. As with many non-profit organizations, the family saw a need within the brain injury community and stepped up to meet that need.
