ROCK SPRING, Ga. (April 3, 2020) – The Jimmy Simpson Foundation in Rock Spring, Ga., a nonprofit founded to serve the brain injury community, has welcomed Karen Williams as the new Vice President of Nursing. Karen Williams will start in late April with the Jimmy Simpson foundation in this role.

“We are excited to welcome Karen back to the Jimmy Simpson Foundation,” says Vickie Hodge, CEO of The Jimmy Simpson Foundation. “Karen is no stranger as she was employed by the Foundation as the Program Director for Safehaven from 2001 to 2009.”

During her previous time at the Jimmy Simpson Foundation, Ms. Williams helped to set up our initial nursing policy and procedures as well as laying the foundation for the quality of care we are known for now.

“I am excited to be back at the Jimmy Simpson Foundation and looking forward to making a difference in the lives of the individuals we care for,” Karen Williams, Vice President of Nursing, said.

The Jimmy Simpson Foundation asks the community of SafeHaven to join in welcoming Karen Williams.

ABOUT JIMMY SIMPSON FOUNDATION - ROCK SPRING, GA

The Jimmy Simpson Foundation is dedicated to providing the best quality care for the brain injury community. It was founded as a 501c3 organization by Carol Simpson after her husband, Jimmy, suffered an anoxic brain injury as a result from a fall out of a hospital bed after surgery. While searching for long term placement for Jimmy, it was difficult to find an environment that fostered individuality as well as provided a safe home environment. As with many non-profit organizations, the family saw a need within the brain injury community and stepped up to meet that need.
